Job summary

WorkPac is seeking a Production Labourer for our Hemmant factory. The role involves cleaning across workshop environments in a heavy engineering/manufacturing setting, with a flexible 3-day-per-week schedule (8-hour days).

The successful candidate will have prior cleaning experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing contexts, be able to work autonomously, and pass drug & alcohol screening (PEM/D&A). An active driver's licence and reliable transport are preferred.

Job description

Our client is the original supplier of steel reinforcement to the Australian construction industry. Proudly Australian since 1920, all of their steel products remain 100% Australian made with international quality assurance and compliance with Australian standards. They are currently seeking a Production Labourer, to join to their team out of their Hemmant factory. The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug and alcohol screening.

What You Will Be Doing:

Working 3 days per week (8 hour days) client is flexible with days and hours preferred. The role will involve cleaning across workshop environments, so they are looking for someone comfortable working within an active heavy engineering/manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for the following duties;

• Emptying bins and managing general waste
• Sweeping and general housekeeping within workshop areas where required.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies

What You Will Need:

• Previous experience in commercial, industrial, workshop or manufacturing cleaning roles (Highly desirable)
• Comfortable working around workshop operations, machinery and heavy equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously
• Drivers Licence + reliable transport
• Ability to pass a PEM + D&A
