Job summary

WorkPac in Pinkenba, Queensland, is seeking a Manufacturing and Production Worker with day shift availability. You will perform prestart checks, pick and assemble building accessories, and operate loading PCs and RF scanners.

This role offers $37 p/hour with penalties and an opportunity for permanency, plus a supportive team and a strong focus on safety in a national manufacturing environment. Experience in steel or heavy manufacturing and a valid driver’s licence are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel or heavy manufacturing is required.
• Familiarity with WHS obligations and safe work practices.
• Ability to work day shifts and take ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prestart checks on plant and equipment.

About the Client

Our Client is a national leader in the industrial manufacturing sector, specialising in steel and heavy manufacturing. With a strong commitment to quality and innovation, they are expanding their team and seeking experienced Machine Operators to join their workforce in Pinkenba with both Day and Afternoon shift available.

What you will be doing

As a Manufacturing and Production Worker you will be responsible for:

• Conducting prestart checks on all plant and equipment
• Picking and assembling associated building accessories
• Filling coil bays of raw materials around machines
• Filling tie wire stands at machines
• Operating loading PCs and RF scanners
• Emptying steel scrap bins and assisting in scrap recovery off machines

What you will need

To be successful in this role you will need to have the below:

• Availability for a day shift role
• Experience in the steel or heavy manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of and commitment to WH&S obligations in the workplace
• High level of self-motivation and ownership
• Current drivers licence and reliable transport
