Sharp and Carter is seeking a hands-on Rostering Product Owner to optimize multi-site hospitality rosters in Sydney and across NSW. You’ll own UKG Pro WFM, work with finance and venue managers, and drive cost savings by adjusting casual vs part-time mix while staying compliant with Awards and legislation.
You''ll spend time on the venue floor during peak periods to validate rostering outcomes and report on wage drivers, with support from a senior leadership team.
About the role This is a role where you’ll see the difference you make. Wages are the biggest cost for this multi-site hospitality and entertainment business, and they want someone to make rosters work better for the business and its people. The goal isn’t fewer staff. It’s rosters that flex up for events and busy weekends, ease off when it’s quiet, and use the right mix of casual and part-time staff.
With several hundred people across multiple venues, even small rostering changes add up to real savings, and you’ll be able to point to them. The senior team is behind this work, so when you ask a manager to do things differently, you’ll have support.
You’ll also start at a good time. The business has recently invested in improving its UKG setup, and you’ll take it over as the product owner, with the scope to shape how it’s used across every site.
You’ll report to the People & Culture Manager and work closely with senior finance and venue General Managers. Other people enter the rosters. Your job is to question them, improve them and help managers roster with more confidence. You’ll spend as much time on the venue floor as at your desk.
Experience in clubs or hospitality helps but isn’t essential. Retail, aged care, health and other shift-based industries suit this role well.
