Job summary

Certis Security Australia is seeking a highly organised Workforce Planner to join our Operations team. You will ensure the right people with the right skills are in the right place at the right time, delivering seamless service while maintaining compliance, efficiency and cost control across a 24/7 environment.

You’ll build and maintain rosters, support payroll readiness and partner with leaders to optimise workforce performance in a fast-paced security operations setting.

Qualifications

Previous workforce planning, rostering or scheduling experience.
Strong understanding of Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll impacts.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and data accuracy.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Build, cost and publish accurate forward rosters.
Ensure compliance with Awards, EAs and fatigue management.
Manage leave planning and workforce availability.
Monitor overtime and unrecovered labour costs.
Maintain data integrity in the workforce management system.
Conduct roster reconciliations and payroll preparation.
Produce workforce planning and operational reports.
Collaborate with Site Managers, Client Services Managers and Payroll teams to ensure service continuity.

We're looking for a highly organised and analytical Workforce Planner to join our Operations team. In this role, you'll ensure the right people, with the right skills, are in the right place at the right time, helping deliver seamless service for our customers while maintaining compliance, efficiency and cost control across a complex 24/7 operational environment.

What you'll be doing

As a Workforce Planner, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining compliant rosters, managing workforce availability, supporting payroll readiness and partnering with operational leaders to optimise workforce performance.

Key responsibilities include:

Building, costing and publishing accurate forward rosters.
Ensuring compliance with Awards, Enterprise Agreements, fatigue management and licensing requirements.
Managing leave planning, workforce availability and operational coverage.
Monitoring and minimising overtime, premium shifts and unrecovered labour costs.
Maintaining workforce management system data integrity.
Conducting roster reconciliations and payroll preparation activities.
Producing workforce planning and operational performance reports

What we're looking for

You are a proactive, detail-oriented planner who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys solving workforce challenges.

To be successful, you'll have:

Previous workforce planning, rostering or scheduling experience.
Strong understanding of Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll impacts.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and data accuracy.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience working within a Workforce Management (WFM) platform.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Desirable but not essential:

Certificate in Business Administration.
NSW 1E Security Licence.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Certificate II in Security Operations.
Minimum three years' experience in security operations.
Qualifications in Business, Scheduling or a related discipline.
Experience in airport, security or other 24/7 operational environments.
Knowledge of the Security Services Industry Award.
