Job summary

Vineria Luisa Pty Ltd in Enmore, NSW is seeking an experienced Sommelier / Wine Waiter to join our Chef-Hatted Italian restaurant and wine bar. The role will deliver professional wine and beverage service, advise on pairings, and uphold beverage standards in a premium dining environment. Casual start with potential full-time opportunities.

Must hold NSW RSA, Australian working rights, hospitality diploma, and solid wine knowledge. WSET2+ and Italian wine knowledge are desirable.

Qualifications

• Professional wine service experience in a restaurant or wine bar.
• Ability to provide food and wine pairings and recommendations.
• Fluent English communication and presentation.
• Current NSW RSA certificate and full Australian working rights.
• Hospitality diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of wine and pairings; 1–3 years in a sommelier/wine waiter role.
• Desirable: WSET Level 2 or higher; knowledge of Italian wines.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional wine and beverage service to guests.
• Recommend and execute food and wine pairings.
• Assist guests with wine selections and beverage recommendations.
• Maintain knowledge of wine list, beverage menu and food offerings.
• Process orders accurately using POS systems and maintain service standards.
• Support front-of-house team during service and aid stock rotation.
