Job summary

ACT Government's City Presentation Branch is seeking a Work Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to support safe work practices and wellbeing outcomes across service delivery environments. This full-time permanent role partners with managers to identify risks, conduct audits and investigations, and contribute to WHS systems improvement.

The successful candidate will have strong communication, knowledge of WHS legislation, and the ability to influence across a diverse operational workforce.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, or a willingness to obtain.
• Current C Class Driver Licence.
• Experience working in a WHS role, preferably within operational, field-based or high-risk environments.
• Experience in hazardous chemical and dangerous goods management.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations, audits and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide contemporary work health and safety advice and support.
• Identify and manage workplace risks, conduct audits and investigations.
• Develop practical safety solutions and contribute to WHS system improvements.
• Strengthen safety culture and support employee wellbeing.
• Collaborate with managers and staff to promote safe work practices.
