Job summary

City of Adelaide seeks a People Safety & Compliance Advisor to support a safe, healthy and compliant workplace across the organisation. You will provide practical guidance on WHS matters, from hazards to risk management and due diligence.

You will lead safety initiatives, plan WHS events, coordinate hazard management and risk assessments, and support leaders to implement effective controls. A focus on continuous improvement and strong stakeholder relationships is essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in WHS or related field or commensurate experience.
• Extensive consultative risk assessment experience in a self-insurer environment.
• Knowledge of internal WHS audit processes.
• Experience implementing systems or process changes with continuous improvement.
• Ability to engage stakeholders and balance competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives, campaigns and improvement projects.
• Plan and deliver WHS events, coordinate hazard management and risk assessments.
• Monitor assurance activities and support leaders to implement effective controls.
• Contribute to development and review of WHS policies, procedures, systems and reporting.
• Build relationships across the organisation to strengthen safety practices.
