Job summary

Seek is seeking a safety-focused professional to support the safety leader in training, compliance, and guiding staff through safe work practices and systems. You will build strong relationships with staff, supervisors and managers to expand knowledge of OHS responsibilities via education and training.

Responsibilities include monitoring risk, safe operating procedures, and incident/hazard controls, as well as site inductions for new staff and enforcing OHS policies in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience applying risk management to workplace health and safety in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to train and enforce OHS policies and safe work practices.
• Strong stakeholder engagement to educate and coach staff, supervisors and managers.

Job description

Our client a multinational company is a global supplier of drivetrain, mobility, braking, aftermarket, and electric powertrain solutions for the commercial vehicle and industrial markets.

This role focuses on assisting the safety leader in training, supporting compliance, and guiding staff through safe work practices and systems.

In this role you will be capable of developing strong working relationships with staff, supervisors and managers to support and expand their knowledge of their OHS responsibilities through education and training.

Assist in monitoring across the organisation, monitor safe operating procedures, Job task requirements, Safe Working Methods Statements, risk assessments and injury prevention models.

Assist with site inductions for new staff.

Enforce Incident and Hazard system awareness for staff.

This is a full-time, casual opportunity, it is an on site role.

You will have previous experience in applying a risk management approach to managing workplace health and safety, the ability to monitor and enforce guidelines and procedures.

Importantly you will have experience in training and enforcement of OHS policies in an manufacturing environment.
