Job summary

This on-site role requires a WHS qualification with 2+ years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to travel nationally on occasion. Join a well-established organisation prioritising people and safety.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or related field (minimum Cert IV)
• 2+ years in a WHS-related role
• Experience with audits, risk assessments, training/presentations and contractor management
• Knowledge of WHS legislation
• Willingness to travel nationally (quarterly)
• Role is on-site 5 days per week

Position

The National Safety Manager is continuing to grow the team, and is looking for a driven Work Health and Safety professional who is looking for career development or exposure working within a well-known brand. You will play a key part in supporting and enabling Work Health and Safety objectives and the ongoing implementation of strategy. We are looking for someone who has the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders within the business to create a safe and productive working environment. Someone who can drive continuous improvements and a proactive safety culture.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Behavioural Science or other related fields (Minimum Cert IV)
• 2+ Years experience working in a Work Health and Safety related field
• Experience conducting Health and Safety Audits, Risk Assessments, Training & Presentations and Contractor Management
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, listening, empathy and flexibility
• Willingness to travel nationally once a quarter
• Please note this role is based on-site 5 days per week
