Job summary

Wellways Australia is seeking a Wellbeing Navigator Peer in Mildura to support people on their mental health journey with person-centred assistance. You will draw on lived experience to provide peer support, assist with intake, and help connect individuals with services.

Working in a multidisciplinary, values-based team, you’ll foster inclusion, resilience and belonging, while navigating community resources and planning collaborative care with clients and carers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated lived experience with mental health challenges or support role.
• Personal lived experience is mandatory and may be required under Equal Opportunity provisions.
• Right to work in Australia and valid Australian driver’s license.
• Satisfactory police/checks: National Police Check, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check; willingness to undertake.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist with intake processes.
• Provide intentional, strengths-based peer support.
• Offer one-on-one support and collaborative care planning.
• Assist people to navigate mental health, wellbeing and community services.
• Support people to build everyday skills, resilience and confidence.
