Job summary

Lives Lived Well's Shanty Creek in Mareeba, QLD, is seeking a compassionate Wellbeing Support Worker / Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff. This Identified Position requires cultural alignment with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities; you’ll assist with housekeeping, laundry, and day-to-day tasks while supporting infection control and wellbeing.

No formal qualifications required; possession of a current Australian Driver's Licence and

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required for this role.
• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, residential care or similar environments is highly regarded.
• Must hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certificates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Clean communal areas, bathrooms, offices, kitchens and accommodation areas.
• Support infection control and workplace health and safety standards.
• Assist with laundry, housekeeping and maintaining welcoming living environments.
• Build respectful and positive relationships with residents.
• Support residents and staff to maintain a welcoming, culturally safe environment.
• Assist with day‑to‑day operational tasks as required.
• Work collaboratively with the broader Shanty Creek team.
