Job summary

Malek Fahd Islamic School in Hoxton Park is seeking a Wellbeing & Character Lead to support student wellbeing, attendance and engagement across the allocated cohort. The role coordinates interventions and promotes Islamic tarbiyah within the school’s educational philosophy.

The successful candidate will guide staff, monitor progress and deliver professional learning to strengthen wellbeing practice across the School, aligning with MFIS values and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of Islamic tarbiyah and wellbeing approaches.
• Enrollment in or willingness to undertake Graduate Certificate of Education (Islamic Education).
• Ability to apply the MFIS Wellbeing Framework to support wellbeing, behaviour and attendance.
• Experience in managing wellbeing issues, including early identification and intervention.
• Proven ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
• Ability to use wellbeing data to monitor progress and inform interventions.
• Capability to guide staff in implementing wellbeing practices.
• Experience presenting to staff and facilitating professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Support student wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and character development across the designated cohort.
• Monitor wellbeing and attendance, identify concerns and coordinate interventions.
• Provide guidance to staff and facilitate professional learning on wellbeing practices.
• Support staff in implementing consistent wellbeing and student support practices.
• Promote Islamic tarbiyah and character formation aligned with the school philosophy.
