Job summary

Malek Fahd Islamic School Ltd (MFIS) is seeking a Wellbeing Coordinator to support student wellbeing, behaviour, engagement and character development across the allocated cohort. The role emphasizes Islamic tarbiyah and the School's educational philosophy to foster adab, responsibility and self-regulation.

The position provides a consistent point of support from everyday wellbeing to complex interventions, with restorative practices, planning and referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of Islamic tarbiyah and Islamic approaches to student wellbeing and character development.
• Completion of, current enrolment in, or willingness to undertake the Graduate Certificate of Education (Islamic Education).
• Ability to apply the MFIS Wellbeing Framework to support student wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and character development.
• Capacity to manage student wellbeing and behavioural matters, including early identification and restorative practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the wellbeing lead for a designated student cohort and support engagement and behaviour.
• Provide day-to-day wellbeing support and escalate complex concerns as required.
• Contribute to restorative practices, documentation and targeted interventions.
• Foster positive student relationships and collaborate with staff, families and other stakeholders.
