Job summary

Bald Hill Quarry Pty Ltd is seeking a proactive Weighbridge, Logistics & Operations Coordinator to manage day-to-day movement of quarry products, weighbridge operations, and related admin. You will liaise with customers, drivers and the quarry team to ensure accurate deliveries and data capture.

Responsibilities

• Provide an efficient, professional and friendly point of contact for customer enquiries and liaise with customers regarding orders, deliveries, product availability and transport requirements.
• Assist in resolving delivery, transport or product-related issues and develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers as required.
• Operate the weighbridge and associated software, ensuring truck movements, products, customers, quantities and other relevant information are recorded.
• Maintain weighbridge records and monitor data integrity, reporting discrepancies or system issues.
• Coordinate day-to-day delivery of quarry products to customers and allocate loads to company and subcontractor trucks.
• Communicate load details, destinations, delivery requirements and changes to drivers and Quarry Managers regarding product availability and transport priorities.
• Monitor daily transport activities and adjust schedules as needed.

Weighbridge, Logistics & Operations Coordinator

The Logistics, Weighbridge & Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the efficient day-to-day movement of quarry products and trucks, operation and administration of the weighbridge, and ensuring customer delivery requirements are met efficiently and accurately. The position is an important link between customers, drivers and the quarry team. A key aspect of this position is to support the Quarry Manager regarding logistics, product requirements, transport movements and operational issues. This is a busy, hands-on role requiring a practical and organised person who can manage changing priorities, communicate effectively with a wide range of people and remain calm and solutions-focused when operational issues arise. The position also provides administrative support for plant and equipment maintenance through the company's MEX maintenance management system.

Key responsibilities

Provide an efficient, professional and friendly point of contact for customer enquiries and liaise with customers regarding orders, deliveries, product availability and transport requirements.

Assist in resolving delivery, transport or product-related issues and develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers as required.

Operate the company weighbridge and associated software accurately and efficiently, ensuring truck movements, products, customers, quantities and other relevant information are correctly recorded.

Maintain accurate weighbridge records and monitor the integrity of weighbridge data, identifying and reporting discrepancies or system issues.

Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of quarry products to customers and organise and allocate loads to company and subcontractor trucks.

Communicate load details, destinations, delivery requirements and changes to drivers and liaise closely with Quarry Managers regarding product availability, loading requirements, transport priorities and operational requirements.

Monitor daily transport activities and adjust schedules in response to changing requirements, delays or breakdowns.

Calculate truck loads, quantities, tonnages and transport requirements, and apply relevant haulage rates, product pricing and other charges as required.

Use the MEX maintenance management system to maintain accurate plant and equipment records, recording servicing, repairs and scheduled maintenance.

Maintain accurate and organised electronic and paper records and provide clerical and administrative support to managers where appropriate.
