Job summary

Black River Quarry, a division of Barro Group, is seeking a hands-on Quarry Weighbridge Operator to manage weighbridge operations and support customers in a busy environment.

The role involves processing orders, scheduling loads, assisting with safety inductions, and contributing to day-to-day admin tasks. Flexible hours including Saturdays are required; reliability and punctuality are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on candidate with customer service experience in trucking or quarrying.
• Experience as driver, operator or administrator preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer-based weighbridge system and process orders.
• Schedule truck loads.
• Assist with quarry safety inductions for contractors and drivers.
• Handle day-to-day administration.
• Provide customer support and answer phone calls.
• Work as part of a small team and on Saturdays.

Black River Quarry, a part of Barro Group– is seeking to engage a Quarry Weighbridge Operator.

Excellent base wage + overtime and leave accruals.

We are looking for a hands on person who likes customer service and has most probably had a previous background in the trucking, quarrying or transport industries as either a driver, operator or administrator.

The key responsibilities:

• Operate computer-based weighbridge system - taking accurate customer phone orders and effecting delivery of products
• Schedule truck loads
• Assit with some quarry safety inductions for contractors, truck drivers and visitors
• Undertake day-to-day administration activities
• Multi task and at times work under pressure to meet customer requirements
• Answer phone calls and provide customer support
• Work as part of a small team
• Work flexible hours including regular Saturday mornings
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Follow company systems including working safely
