Job summary

Southern Pacific Sands is seeking a Weighbridge Allocator to manage day-to-day weighbridge operations for trucks and trailers carrying soils, sands and aggregates. You’ll collaborate with the Fleet Coordinator, drivers and logistics to keep loads recorded accurately and transport activities running smoothly.

You should be organised, reliable and comfortable communicating with a range of people. The role offers Monday–Friday hours, onsite work and a supportive team at a growing family business.

Qualifications

• Experience in weighbridge, logistics, transport, administration or similar operational role.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn, team player and ability to handle competing priorities.
• Able to work in a busy environment with practical, hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge and accurately record truck and load information.
• Coordinate truck movements with delivery schedules and customer requirements.
• Build relationships with drivers and assist with operational issues.
• Support Fleet Coordinator with routes, material schedules and transport coordination.
• Complete weighbridge reports, load details and compliance documentation.
• Provide directions, safety info and assistance to site visitors.

We're looking for a Weighbridge Allocator to join our team and help keep our transport and material movements running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of customer interaction, administration, logistics and day-to-day operations.

About the Role

Monday–Friday | 6:00am–4:00pm | Full-Time

As our Weighbridge Allocator, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day weighbridge operations for our fleet of trucks and dog trailers transporting quarry materials including soils, sands and aggregates.

You’ll work closely with our Fleet Coordinator, drivers and logistics team to ensure loads are accurately recorded, documentation is kept up to date and transport operations run efficiently.

Your day will involve:

• Operating the weighbridge and accurately recording truck and load information.
• Coordinating the movement of trucks in line with delivery schedules and customer requirements.
• Building positive relationships with drivers and assisting with any operational issues.
• Supporting the Fleet Coordinator with truck routes, material schedules and transport coordination.
• Completing weighbridge reports, load details and transport compliance documentation.
• Providing directions, safety information and general assistance to site visitors.
• Supporting the fleet and logistics team with data entry, record keeping and reporting.
• Ensuring documentation is accurate, organised and easily accessible.
