RE-CO in Adelaide's northern suburbs is seeking a hands-on Site Manager to lead day-to-day operations of a new 10c container deposit and scrap metal recycling facility. You will actively manage staff, support customers, and work with hybrid AI sorting and counting technology to ensure smooth, safe operations.

This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment, with willingness to work weekends and outdoors, and a commitment to safety and quality in every transaction.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Ability to perform occasional manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day operations of the recycling facility.
• Supervising and coordinating staff.
• Delivering outstanding customer service and handling customer interactions.
• Assisting customers with our hybrid AI sorting and counting technology.
• Managing 10c container deposit and scrap metal operations.
• Overseeing cash handling and daily transactions.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
• Operating forklifts and assisting with sorting and weighing scrap metal.
• Assisting customers with unloading vehicles.
• Undertaking manual counting and basic calculations.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
