Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District – St Leonards Park NSW is seeking pharmacy students in final or penultimate year to join the weekend pharmacy team at RNS pharmacy. This temporary part-time role offers hospital-based experience, 16 hours per week, and a paid rate of $33.76–$42.99 per hour until 9 January 2028, with potential ongoing employment.

You will support the Pharmacy Department across dispensing, production, clinical and distribution activities, with a Certificate III/IV in Hospital

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Hospital Pharmacy Assistance or equivalent (Technician grades only).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations and pharmaceutical calculations (technical grades only).
• Computer literacy, including MS Office.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.
• Describe a regular commitment you maintained for at least six months and how you handled it.

Responsibilities

• The Pharmacy Assistant will provide technical support to the Pharmacy Department in all areas of pharmacy practice, including dispensing, production, clinical and distribution activities.
• This position is suitable for pharmacy students who will be in the final or second-last year of their pharmacy degree.
