Job summary

Macquarie Asset Management, within the Wealth Distribution team, seeks a Business Development / Internal Sales Associate to drive new business across New South Wales. This role is primarily phone-based, building relationships with financial advisers and licensed reps, promoting investment capabilities, and generating meetings for BDMs.

You will develop your own adviser pipeline, expand sales activity, and support broader sales strategy through servicing existing relationships and coordinating

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a sales, business development, or client service role, ideally within financial services or wealth management.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent
• RG146 certification
• Solid working knowledge of investment markets and products across major asset classes
• Excellent telephone, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational ability
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the initiative to work independently as well as in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with financial advisers and licensed representatives across New South Wales.
• Promote Macquarie Asset Management's investment capabilities and generate meetings for Business Development Managers.
• Build and manage your own adviser pipeline and expand sales activity over time.
• Support sales strategy by servicing existing adviser relationships and following up after meetings.
• Coordinate adviser attendance at events and assist with event preparation and material distribution.
• Maintain records in the contact management system for future engagement.
