Job summary

Macquarie Asset Management is seeking a Business Development / Internal Sales Associate in Sydney. Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in a sales, business development, or client service role, ideally within financial services or wealth management
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • RG146 certification
  • Solid working knowledge of investment markets and products across major asset classes, including equities, fixed income, real assets and alternatives, with a genuine interest in deepening this knowledge over time
  • Excellent telephone, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational ability
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the initiative to work independently as well as in a team environment

You will proactively engage with financial advisers and licensed representatives across New South Wales, promoting Macquarie Asset Management's investment capabilities and generating meetings for Business Development Managers (BDMs). You will support the broader sales strategy by servicing existing adviser relationships, conducting follow-up calls to maintain engagement between BDM visits, and managing post-meeting and event communications. Working closely with BDMs, Marketing and fellow Sales Associates, you will coordinate adviser attendance at events, assist with event preparation and material distribution, and contribute to sales activity across multiple regions. You will also maintain accurate records within the contact management system, ensuring all calls, meetings and correspondence are captured to support future engagement, while providing ad hoc support to the team in achieving its sales and growth objectives.
