Macquarie Asset Management is seeking a Business Development / Internal Sales Associate in Sydney. The role focuses on developing relationships with financial advisers across New South Wales and generating meetings for Business Development Managers as part of the Wealth Distribution team within Client Solutions Group.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a sales, business development, or client service role, ideally within financial services or wealth management
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent
• RG146 certification
• Solid working knowledge of investment markets and products across major asset classes, including equities, fixed income, real assets and alternatives, with a genuine interest in deepening this knowledge over time
• Excellent telephone, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational ability
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the initiative to work independently as well as in a team environment

Responsibilities

• This role is primarily phone-based and offers the opportunity to develop strong relationships within the financial adviser community while building a foundation for a long-term career in sales.
• You will proactively engage with financial advisers and licensed representatives across New South Wales, promoting Macquarie Asset Management's investment capabilities and generating meetings for Business Development Managers (BDMs).
• Through consistent outreach, relationship building and ongoing client engagement, you will develop your own pipeline of adviser relationships and, over time, expand your sales activity as your product knowledge, experience and track record grow.
