About the Role

At CSR, we're looking for a WCM Engineer who is passionate about continuous improvement, operational excellence and delivering measurable business outcomes. Supporting our World Class Manufacturing (WCM) program across multiple Sydney sites, this role will drive both cost-saving and revenue-enhancing initiatives across our Exterior Systems operations, helping improve productivity, efficiency and overall business performance.

We're a hands-on, results-focused team where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact. If you're motivated by data-driven decision making, stakeholder engagement and delivering sustainable operational improvements, this is an opportunity to take ownership of continuous improvement and play a key role in shaping the future performance of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the deployment and maturity of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) across multiple sites, driving operational excellence initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and team performance.
  • Identify and prioritise improvement opportunities by analysing operational data, assessing production processes and uncovering inefficiencies, waste, constraints and performance gaps.
  • Contribute to deliver complex continuous improvement projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring measurable outcomes in productivity, cost reduction, process capability and operational effectiveness.
  • Serve as the key interface between site operations and the WCM Centre of Excellence, translating strategic objectives into practical site-based initiatives and ensuring consistent execution of WCM standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Operations, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Procurement and Engineering teams, to drive alignment, engagement and sustainable change.
  • Contribute to major capital investment and manufacturing optimisation projects, applying Lean and WCM methodologies to maximise operational performance, equipment effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Leverage data analytics, operational KPIs and performance metrics to identify trends, monitor project outcomes and support fact-based decision-making across the business.
  • Embed Lean Manufacturing and WCM principles into everyday operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and high performance across site teams.
  • Monitor, audit and review implemented improvements to ensure benefits are realised, sustained and continuously enhanced over the long term.
  • Coach, mentor and develop operational teams in Lean, WCM and problem-solving methodologies, building site capability and ownership of continuous improvement practices.
  • Drive standardisation and best-practice adoption across multiple sites, ensuring successful initiatives are scalable, repeatable and aligned with broader business objectives.
  • Prepare and present clear reporting, insights and recommendations to leadership, providing visibility of project progress, performance outcomes and future improvement opportunities.
