Job summary

AECOM is expanding its Water Infrastructure team in New South Wales. This role leads the design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects, with responsibility for projects from concept through to construction support.

You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with colleagues across Australia and the global network. The role focuses on delivering high-quality technical outcomes, maintaining safety, and building client relationships, with hybrid work options and opportunities

Qualifications

• Tertiary engineering qualification with professional recognition
• Experience delivering water/wastewater projects in consulting, design or engineering
• Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes and codes
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Interest in mentoring and developing junior team members

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects, including upgrades and optimisations
• Coordinate projects from inception to completion: bidding, design, tender docs and construction support
• Contribute to civil infrastructure planning for treatment facilities, including site layouts and hydraulic structures
• Ensure QA processes, deliver projects safely, on time and within budget
• Build relationships with clients and multidisciplinary teams across offices
• Mentor junior engineers and designers to share knowledge across the team
