Job summary

AECOM in Sydney, NSW is expanding its Water Infrastructure team to deliver water and wastewater projects across NSW and potentially interstate opportunities. The role offers hybrid work arrangements and collaboration with industry-leading experts on a range of civil water projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead technical delivery, and engage clients across sectors while participating in bid activities from inception through construction support.

Qualifications

• - Relevant tertiary qualifications & CPEng
• - Ideally, 20+ years relevant experience
• - Demonstrated experience in water and/or wastewater projects including civil water networks, hydraulic/pump selection, transient analysis, buried structural pipe calculations, thrust block design.
• - Knowledge of applicable Australian codes and standards.
• - Passion for delivering high quality work, mentoring, leadership & collaboration and excellent client and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in technical practice leadership for our civil group.
• You will provide guidance to the team, mentoring junior engineers and designers, contributing to the growth of our talent pipeline.
• You will have the opportunity to get involved in managing and completing projects from inception, including involvement in the bidding phase, concept design, detailed design, tendering, and construction phase support.
• Ensure all quality assurance processes are followed, delivering on time and within budget for projects in planning, design and/or construction support.
• Build and maintain strong relationships working with various clients across a range of sectors.
