Job summary

Federation Council is seeking a dedicated Water Treatment Plant Operator in Corowa to operate and maintain water treatment plants, reservoirs and pumping stations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality drinking water across the Federation Council area. The role includes assisting with broader water and sewerage reticulation maintenance and working within ADWG guidelines.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment (Drinking Water) or equivalent.
• Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
• Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Confined Spaces Entry Accreditation.
• NSW Fluoridation accreditation or ability to obtain during probation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of water treatment plant operations, maintenance and WHS.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, maintain, and repair water treatment plants, reservoirs, and pumping stations in line with Council standards.
• Perform operational testing and maintain records per ADWG and regulators.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and assist with water/sewerage reticulation repairs as directed.
• Adhere to WHS protocols, SWMS, and PPE usage.
• Participate in on-call roster and overtime for after-hours and weekend needs.
