Job summary

Workfast is seeking Waste Sorters & Labourers to join our Recycling and Waste Management team in New Chum, QLD. You will operate on a conveyor belt sorting waste materials, ensuring safety and quality, while supporting the crew with related tasks on a fast-paced site.

This role requires a valid Australian driver’s licence, full working rights, reliable transport, and the ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol tests.

Qualifications

• Must have Australian driver’s licence and full working rights.
• Prior experience in a similar role.
• Must have reliable transport.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test.
• Physically capable of demanding tasks and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate on a conveyor belt sorting waste materials, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Support the team with shovelling, spotting, and site cleanup when required.
• Collaborate with supervisors and management to maintain a productive workplace.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and uphold high work standards.
• Follow policies and regulations to ensure safety of yourself and colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by site manager or team leader.

We are actively seeking dedicated Waste Sorters & Labourers to join our Recycling and Waste Management team. You will be part of a motivated crew working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate on a conveyor belt sorting waste materials, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Support the team with additional tasks such as shovelling, spotting, site cleanup, when required, emphasising teamwork and efficiency.
• Collaborate with supervisors and management, contributing to a positive and productive workplace.
• Commit to continuous improvement initiatives, actively participating in maintaining a high standard of work.
• Follow all relevant policies and regulations while ensuring your safety and the safety of your colleagues.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the site manager or team leader.
