Job summary

Workfast is seeking Multi-Skilled Operators / Plant All Rounders to join a Recycling and Waste Management facility in Hemmant, QLD. This role offers an afternoon shift from 1:45pm to 10:00pm with competitive pay and shift allowances.

You will operate excavators, front-end loaders and forklifts, load and process waste and recyclables, and support various plant areas. Great for experienced operators seeking steady work and safety-focused teamwork.

Qualifications

• Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights.
• Excavator operating experience.
• Front-End Loader operating experience.
• Current Forklift Licence (LF).
• Previous similar multi-skilled operator role preferred.
• Experience in recycling, waste management or industrial plant is advantageous.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol tests.
• A proactive, safety-conscious team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, front-end loaders and forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Load, move and process waste and recyclable materials.
• Assist with feeding and operating recycling and processing plant.
• Work across different areas of the plant as required.
• Perform general labouring and ground duties when required.
• Assist with site clean-up and housekeeping.
• Follow all safety, environmental and operational procedures.

We are actively seeking dedicated Multi-Skilled Operators / Plant All Rounders to join our Recycling and Waste Management Team. You will be part of a motivated crew working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators, front-end loaders and forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Load, move and process waste and recyclable materials.
• Assist with feeding and operating recycling and processing plant.
• Work across different areas of the plant as required.
• Perform general labouring and ground duties when required.
• Assist with site clean-up, shovelling and general housekeeping.
• Work safely around conveyors, fixed plant and mobile equipment.
• Assist other operators and team members with daily site activities.
• Follow all site safety, environmental and operational procedures.
• Be willing to jump out of the machine and get involved with hands-on work across the plant when required.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights.
• Excavator operating experience.
• Front-End Loader operating experience.
• Current Forklift Licence (LF).
• Prior experience in a similar multi-skilled operator / plant all rounder role.
• Experience working around recycling, waste management or industrial plant is highly regarded.
• Comfortable operating machinery as well as performing hands-on ground work.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol test.
• A can-do attitude with a willingness to engage in physically demanding tasks when necessary.
• Professionalism and a commitment to team collaboration and workplace safety.
