Job summary

Synergie Australia is seeking a Waste Sorter / Bin Runner at a recycling facility in Melbourne CBD. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to become permanent for the right person.

Key duties include collecting and moving bins, sorting waste streams, and operating basic equipment. A reliable, physically fit applicant with a valid driver’s licence and PPE compliance is preferred; forklift licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Reliable with good attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Able to consistently start at 5:30am.
• Current driver’s licence and able to wear PPE including hi-vis boots.
• Waste/recycling experience or forklift licence advantageous, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect and move recycling bins and materials.
• Manually sort recycling into correct waste streams.
• Operate basic recycling equipment such as balers.
• Assist with bins and compactors as required.
• General cleaning and housekeeping of the facility.

What’s on offer

• $38.44 per hour
• Monday to Friday, 5:30am – 1:30pm

The role

• Collect and move recycling bins and materials
• Manually sort recycling into the correct waste streams
• Operate basic recycling equipment such as balers
• Assist with bins and compactors as required
• General cleaning and housekeeping of the facility

About you

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and attendance
• Able to consistently start at 5:30am
• Current driver’s licence and able to wear required PPE, including hi-vis and steel-capped boots
• Waste/recycling experience or forklift licence advantageous, but not essential
