Job summary

Synergie Australia is seeking an HR Truck Driver (Front & Hook Lift) for a leading waste and recycling services organisation in Rockhampton. You will support day-to-day waste collection operations across the region, ensuring safe, efficient, and professional service delivery.

Key duties include operating HR collection vehicles, completing pre-start checks, delivering loads to recycling facilities, and maintaining safety and vehicle standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Unrestricted HR Licence (AUS) or Class 4 (NZ).
• Demonstrated clean driving record and experience operating heavy vehicles.
• Ability to multi-task and operate truck controls manually.
• Willing to work weekend rosters when required.
• Must have full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Operate HR collection vehicles including Front Lift and Hook Lift systems
• Complete daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment
• Deliver loads to nominated recycling and disposal facilities
• Manage safe loading/unloading procedures and interact professionally with clients
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, compliant work environment

Synergie is seeking an HR Truck Driver (Front & Hook Lift) for a leading waste and recycling services organisation located in Rockhampton.

The important parts:

• Shift: Monday – Friday, 5:00am to 1:00pm, with overtime available

• Tenure: Temp to Permanent Opportunity

• Location: Rockhampton

What you will be required to do:

You will be supporting day-to-day waste collection operations across the wider region, ensuring safe, efficient, and professional service delivery.

• Operate HR collection vehicles including Front Lift and Hook Lift systems
• Complete daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment
• Deliver loads to nominated recycling and disposal facilities
• Manage safe loading/unloading procedures and interact professionally with clients
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, compliant work environment

To be successful in this role you will:

• Hold an Unrestricted HR Licence (AUS) or Class 4 (NZ) as a minimum
• Have a clean driving record and experience operating heavy vehicles
• Be confident multi-tasking and manually operating truck controls
• Be willing to work some rostered weekend shifts when required
• Have full working rights in Australia
• Have reliable transport to get to work on time
• Demonstrate a strong safety mindset and commitment to Zero Harm

Required PPE: Long sleeve shirt, long drill pants, high-vis, and steel-capped boots.
