Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking a Resource Management Enforcement Officer to join the FOGO and Resource Recovery team. You will investigate incidents, educate residents and support practical waste solutions across Blacktown City’s streets, parks and neighbourhoods.

You will split time between the field and office, inspecting sites, preparing reports and issuing notices as required, while helping residents understand disposal requirements and services available.

Responsibilities

• Inspect illegal dumping sites and collect evidence.
• Interview witnesses and prepare briefs.
• Issue warnings or penalty notices where required.
• Explain waste disposal requirements and relevant legislation to residents.
• Develop educational material and deliver information sessions.
• Support litter prevention programs and projects for behaviour change.
• Engage with residents, businesses, contractors and community groups to improve waste management.
