City of Ryde is seeking a Waste Planner to integrate planning, sustainability and customer service, advising on waste and recycling requirements for development applications. You will collaborate with developers, agencies and residents to deliver practical solutions aligned with Council standards.

The role emphasizes policy development, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement in planning processes, with a focus on delivering positive environmental outcomes for a growing community.

Competenze

• Urban Planning qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of explaining complex information clearly.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Analytical, research and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

Mansioni

• Assess development applications and provide expert advice on waste and recycling requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, government agencies, residents and community groups to achieve planning outcomes.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of policies, procedures and planning frameworks.
• Respond to customer enquiries and prepare clear, accurate assessment reports.
• Conduct site inspections to support customer service and development outcomes.
