Job summary

City of Ryde seeks an experienced Senior Coordinator Strategic Planning to lead the City Places team in delivering major strategic land‑use and policy initiatives. You will guide long‑term plans, collaborate with councils, agencies, consultants, and the community to ensure statutory compliance and alignment with growth objectives.

You will oversee master plans, studies, LSPS, LEPs and DCPs, manage budgets and timelines, and foster strong partnerships across internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in town planning with a focus on strategic land use planning.
• Experience delivering LSPS, LEPs and DCPs.
• Experience leading complex strategic planning projects, managing budgets and timelines.
• Sound knowledge of Environmental Planning and Assessment Act.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to coordinate strategic planning projects, including master plans and planning studies.
• Prepare, monitor and update LSPS, LEPs and DCPs to meet statutory requirements.
• Oversee staff work programs, manage consultants and budgets.
• Represent Council at meetings and contribute to the City Places Management Plan and budget.
• Engage with internal teams, government agencies, consultants and the community.
