Job summary
City of Ryde is seeking a Senior Town Planner to lead advisory services on a broad range of planning matters, from local developments to State Significant Development projects. You will provide expert advice to the community, industry professionals and stakeholders, while contributing to frontline customer service and efficient development assessments.

Qualifications
- Degree in town planning or equivalent required.
- Experience assessing complex development applications.
- Experience preparing submissions for major developments incl State Significant Developments (desirable).
- Ability to interpret NSW planning legislation and policy.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on development proposals and enquiries for small- and large-scale projects.
- Lead the review and preparation of Council submissions on major development proposals including SSDs.
- Oversee development application and subdivision lodgements through the NSW Planning Portal.
- Coordinate and participate in pre-lodgement meetings and Urban Design Review Panel processes.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to Council and stakeholders on planning controls and regulatory changes.
