Job summary

BYD Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator based at the Sydney warehouse in Prestons, reporting to the Warehouse Manager. You will support Aftersales Operations and ensure efficient warehouse activities across Sydney and Brisbane.

Responsibilities include daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, stock movements, and collaboration with customer service and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Automotive or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse operations or logistics coordination, preferably within automotive parts.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse equipment and its operation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse operations across Sydney and Brisbane, including receiving, picking, packing and dispatching automotive parts.
• Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Track and record stock movements, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely system updates.
• Collaborate with customer service and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and on-time order fulfilment.
• Manage stock discrepancies, damaged goods and returns per procedures.
• Coordinate regular stocktakes, investigate variances and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure WHS compliance and adherence to SOPs.
• Respond to dealer inquiries regarding parts availability, order status and deliveries.

About the Role

Based at BYD's Sydney warehouse in Prestons and reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Coordinator will play a key role in supporting our Aftersales Operations team, ensuring smooth and efficient warehouse operations across Sydney and Brisbane.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate daily warehouse operations across Sydney and Brisbane, including receiving, picking, packing and dispatching automotive parts.
• Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) regularly.
• Track and record all stock movements, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely system updates.
• Collaborate with customer service and logistics teams to ensure smooth warehouse operations and timely order fulfilment.
• Manage stock discrepancies, damaged goods and returns in accordance with company procedures.
• Coordinate regular stocktakes, investigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions where required.
• Ensure warehouse operations comply with workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Respond to daily dealer enquiries regarding parts availability, order status and deliveries, ensuring timely and professional communication.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Automotive or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse operations or logistics coordination, preferably within the automotive parts industry.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse equipment and its operation will be highly regarded.
