Job summary

Independent Living Specialists (ILS) Bayswater, VIC is hiring a Casual Warehouse Assistant/ Operations Support to join our warehousing, storage and distribution team. You will help receive orders, manage inventory, assist with delivery and setup of equipment to clients at homes and medical facilities, and support the broader operations team.

The role requires a current driver’s license, ability to lift heavy objects, strong time management, and a customer‑focused, proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Order Receiving: Ensure timely and accurate receipt of orders.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of products.
• Delivery & setup: Assist with delivery and setup of equipment in clients' homes and medical facilities.
• Load/unload: Load and unload delivery vehicles in a safe and timely manner.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of warehouse receipts and inventory movements.

A unique opportunity exists for a Casual Warehouse Assistant/ Operations Support based in Bayswater, VIC. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the company's warehousing, storage and distribution operations, ensuring that essential assistive equipment and supplies are delivered and installed to customers quickly and efficiently.

Your "New" Day to Day:

Order Receiving:

Ensure timely and accurate receipt of orders.

Address and resolve any issues related to orders received.

Assisting in the delivery and set up of equipment in client's homes and medical facilities.

Load and unload delivery vehicles in a safe and timely manner

Inventory Management:

Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of products.

Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with conducting regular stock checks.

Cleaning, repairs and storage of home care rental equipment.

Organising and keeping the warehouse in a clean and safe working condition as per OH&S standards

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of all warehouse receipts and inventory movements.

Assist with audits and compliance requirements.

Support the broader operations team with various warehouse and logistics tasks as required

What we're looking for

A current Drivers License is essential for this position (provisional/learners licenses will not be accepted) and excellent Driver History Report.

Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people

Excellent time management and organisational abilities

A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and perform physical tasks as required.

A proactive, flexible and team-oriented approach to your work

Ability to work unsupervised, and collaboratively with your team

National Police Clearance Check (or willingness to obtain)

Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

Proof Working Rights in Australia is required
