Job summary

Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney is seeking a Director of First Impressions for the medical oncology/palliative care ward to lead front desk operations and patient flow.

You will oversee all ward administration, manage high-volume calls with a focus on excellent customer service, ensure accurate data entry to the Patient Administration System, and safeguard patient confidentiality while collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent and/or
• Minimum 2-3 years medical administration with high-level customer service experience
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel), with accurate data entry
• Knowledge of and/or experience in cancer services (desirable)
• Compliance with Category A immunisation requirements
• Valid police check <6 months old or willingness to obtain
• Current Working with Children check
• Valid Australian working rights – no sponsorship is offered for this position

Responsibilities

• All administrative tasks for the medical oncology/palliative care ward
• High level customer service skills as you manage incoming calls to the ward
• Accurate data entry of patient admission and discharge to the Patient Administration System
• Confidential management of patient files on the ward
• Teamplayer - work with stakeholders from across the organisation
