Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and attentive table service to guests.
• Greet customers, present menus and take food and beverage orders.
• Provide information and recommendations on menu items and drinks.
• Serve food and beverages according to service standards.
• Prepare and reset tables for service; liaise with kitchen and FOH staff.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to inquiries.
• Process payments accurately and maintain dining area cleanliness.
• Provide service during functions and events when required.
• Comply with RSA, food safety and WHS requirements.

Located in Paddington NSW 2021, Barbetta is an Italian hospitality venue offering dine-in services alongside functions and other hospitality experiences.
Barbetta is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Trade Waiter to join their team and provide professional and attentive food and beverage service to guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing professional and attentive table service to guests.
• Greeting customers, presenting menus and taking accurate food and beverage orders.
• Providing information and recommendations regarding menu items, dishes and beverages.
• Serving food and beverages in accordance with professional service standards.
• Preparing tables for service and clearing and resetting tables as required.
• Liaising with kitchen and other front-of-house staff to ensure accurate and timely service.
• Monitoring guest satisfaction and responding professionally to customer requests and enquiries.
• Processing customer accounts and payments accurately.
• Maintaining cleanliness, organisation and presentation of dining and service areas.
• Providing professional service during functions and events where required.
• Complying with food safety, hygiene, Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and workplace health and safety requirements.

About You

• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Trade Waiter or in a similar professional food and beverage service role.
• Strong knowledge of professional table and food and beverage service procedures.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to provide attentive and professional service in a restaurant environment.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members.
• Well-presented, reliable and committed to maintaining high service standards.
• Appropriate NSW RSA competency where required for the service of alcohol.
