RAFI by Applejack Hospitality in North Sydney is seeking Head Waitstaff to join our premium dining venue. You will lead a section, deliver high-quality service, and ensure guest satisfaction.

This full-time role offers great pay, ongoing training, health resources, and flexible rosters, with weekend/evening work required. RSA certificate and 2+ years’ experience are required to join the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ relevant restaurant experience.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktails.
• Ability to work under pressure during high-volume service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a section of the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth service and high standards.
• Greet, seat, and engage with guests, providing professional and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Take and coordinate food and beverage orders, with detailed knowledge of menus, daily specials, and wine pairings.
• Oversee and support junior wait staff, providing training, guidance, and feedback.
• Manage table allocations, coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams, and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Respond to and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, hygiene, and RSA requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining service standards and supporting overall restaurant operations.

We are seeking experienced Waitstaff to join our dynamic team at our premium dining venue RAFI in North Sydney.

RAFI, North Sydney is an award winning hatted foodie destination and offers a food menu which is fresh and seasonal, inspired by the coastal elements of Sydney, along with the abundance of colourful produce available to the region. Bright and creative cocktails sit alongside a handpicked selection of local beers on tap, and a well-constructed wine list, featuring a strong representation of local wineries by the glass.

About The Role

As Head Waitstaff, you will provide high-quality food and beverage service in a fast-paced environment, delivering exceptional customer experiences in line with our company standards.

• Ability to work under pressure and handle high-volume service periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.
• A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.

Salary and Conditions

This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $80,000 Grade 4+ plus superannuation, in accordance with industry standards. Weekend and evening work will be required.
