Job summary

CMW Geosciences is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the Western Australia team of 50+ staff. You will oversee operations, strategic direction, and growth with a deep understanding of the WA market and proven leadership skills.

Responsibilities include shaping regional strategy, managing budgets and risk, and driving client engagement while maintaining safety and technical excellence across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Civil Engineer (or equivalent) required.
• 10+ years' geotechnical experience and minimum 4 years in management within an engineering consultancy.
• Proven track record of building, developing, and growing high-performing regional teams.
• Strong WA market understanding with success in winning work and driving growth.
• Commercial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgets and outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills with WA travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead the WA business strategy and operations to drive growth and regional objectives.
• Oversee financial performance including budgets, forecasting, profitability, and decisions.
• Provide strong leadership, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
• Drive business development, client engagement, and market presence.
• Champion safety, quality and technical excellence, ensuring compliance and improvement.
