Job summary

CMW Geosciences is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer/Principal Engineering Geologist to lead WA site investigation projects. You will act as the technical authority, delivering high-quality interpretive reports and guiding a team of engineers and geologists.

Ideal candidates will have 15+ years in geotechnical consulting, strong leadership, and proficiency with Plaxis, Rocscience, and Leapfrog. Perth-based with permanent residency preferred; offers a flexible 9-day fortnight and ongoing

Qualifications

15+ years' experience in geotechnical consulting.
Strong experience in scoping, design and executing onshore and nearshore geotechnical investigations.
Ability to interpret raw field data, propose lab testing regimes and assess complex ground models.
Act as the primary technical contact for Clients from proposal to delivery stage.
Demonstrated leadership, including mentoring and developing junior engineers and engineering geologists.

Responsibilities

Lead site investigation projects in Western Australia across a diverse portfolio.
Provide high-quality interpretive reports and technical guidance to clients.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and engineering geologists.
Serve as primary technical contact from proposal to delivery.
