Job summary

Racing Queensland is seeking a VSAW Administration Assistant on a 9-month fixed-term, parental leave cover. The role supports the Veterinary Services and Animal Welfare team, handling invoices, payments, travel bookings, expense claims and switchboard duties.

You will help develop data repositories and dashboards, build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to process improvements and promotional activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum proven administrative experience.
• Responsible for invoices, payments and expense claims.
• Experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform the day-to-day administrative requirements of the VSAW Department, including processing invoices and payments, participating in the RQ switchboard roster and answering the VSAW general enquiry line, booking travel, reconciling credit card payments and processing expense claims.
• Contribute to the development of data repositories and dashboards across a range of VSAW functions.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including RQ’s Finance and Procurement team, and monitor and communicate stakeholder feedback.
• Contribute to the creation, revision and audit of VSAW processes and procedures to optimise processes and operational efficiency.
• Actively participate in VSAW promotional activities and events.
