Job summary

IKEA Marsden Park is seeking a dedicated Visual Merchandiser to create inspiring, commercially compelling spaces that reflect customer needs and home furnishing trends. You will oversee store layout, range presentation and customer experience, driving sales while collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

This 12-month contract is full-time (76 hours per fortnight) and on-site, with a 7:00am–3:00pm shift pattern and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experienced in visual merchandising within a retail environment with a proven ability to create engaging and commercially relevant customer experiences.
• Skilled in styling, space planning, colour coordination, presentation, and visual storytelling.
• Knowledgeable in store layouts, customer journeys, and visual merchandising principles.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
• Creating inspiring and commercially relevant home furnishing solutions that improve people’s lives at home.
• Using your visual merchandising and design expertise to strengthen the IKEA identity through store layout and customer experience.
• Planning, coordinating and delivering projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring deadlines and commercial objectives are met.
• Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders across the store to bring ideas to life and influence positive business outcomes.
• Communicating and presenting design concepts in a clear, engaging and commercially compelling way.
• Being active and hands-on throughout the store, ensuring ideas are successfully executed to a high standard.
