Job summary

Williams-Sonoma is seeking Sales Merchandisers (Visual Key Holder) at our Chadstone store to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced specialty retail setting. This role supports visual merchandising, replenishment, and operations, with a two-week rotating roster including late shifts and weekends.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in retail or visual merchandising, a strong eye for brand presentation, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ retail or visual merchandising experience preferred.
• Flexible availability, including late trade and weekend shifts.
• Permanent work rights in Australia will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visual presentation, cleanliness, safety and stock to create an appealing store environment.
• Assist customers and share product knowledge to enhance home setup and drive sales.
• Support opening/closing, register operations and back-office tasks to aid store management.
• Apply effective selling techniques to achieve KPIs.

Williams Sonoma is a multi-channel specialty retailer of high-quality products for the home. Our family of brands in Australia includes the well-known retailer’s west elm, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids & Williams-Sonoma.

Our Chadstone location is looking for Sales Merchandisers (also known as a Visual Key Holder) to create a unique shopping experience by providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, specialty retail environment.

We will be offering both fixed-term and permanent part-time opportunities, with 40–48 hours per fortnight on a fixed two-week rotating roster, including late trade and alternate weekends.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Ensure the store upholds visual presentation, replenishment, cleanliness, safety, and back-of-house standards to create an inviting shopping environment while showcasing our furniture and homewares through strategic merchandising.
• Create unique and engaging experiences for customers by sharing your expertise and helping them enhance their homes, delivering exceptional customer service.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, register operations, and back-office tasks to provide operational support to the store management team, ensuring smooth store operations.
• Use effective selling techniques and in-depth product knowledge to drive sales and achieve KPIs.
• Create a positive and inclusive environment within a dynamic and supportive team.

What You Will Bring to the Role:

• 1–2 years’ retail or visual merchandising experience (preferred).
• Strong eye for detail, layout, and brand presentation.
• Great communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritise, multitask and work hands‑on.
• Flexible availability, including after‑hours setups and peak trading periods.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to be mobile in the store and back‑of‑house areas, including standing for long periods
• Ability to climb ladders and use other equipment in line with safety standards
• Ability to lift and mobilise medium to large items, up to 30kg, while utilising appropriate equipment and safety techniques
