Job summary

Veeam Software in Sydney seeks a Virtualization Backup Engineer to support customers by diagnosing backup issues, analyzing logs, and coordinating with product teams. You will own cases from start to resolution, collaborating with VMware/Hyper-V and SQL/Oracle environments.

Ideal candidates will actively learn, explain technical information clearly, and thrive in a fast-paced support role within a global team.

Qualifications

• Advanced user or admin level in Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 and Windows 10/11.
• Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, NAT, DNS and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, SQL/Oracle databases and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and log analysis to resolve complex backup issues.
• Act as technical focal point in relationships with IT professionals.
• Own customer problems from case start to resolution, coordinating fixes in Veeam and 3rd party components, and educate customers.
