Job summary

The BUSY Group is seeking a Transition Support Officer based in Holsworthy to help Australian Defence Force personnel move from military service into civilian life. You will provide tailored transition planning and work with Defence personnel, Australian Public Servants and community services to map options and milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in the employment services industry or a similar sector; OR 4 years full-time ADF service in the preceding 5 years.
• Must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
• Ability to craft tailored Career Plans and engage clients and stakeholders.
• Comfortable presenting to groups or public speaking, or willing to develop these skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored transition planning that reflects each member's goals and circumstances.
• Guide individuals through career exploration, training options, and upskilling opportunities.
• Connect members with employment, education, health, and community services.
• Research and identify high-quality providers using local and national networks.
• Monitor progress and support members throughout their transition journey.
