The Government schools in Victoria are seeking a Classroom Teacher to plan, prepare and teach learning programs that target literacy and numeracy and support student growth. The role emphasizes responsive teaching, using data to monitor progress and providing feedback to students and families.

Responsibilities include planning for high-impact instruction, reflecting on practice, and collaborating with colleagues and the school community to improve engagement, wellbeing and learning outcomes

Formación

• SC1 knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• SC2 planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• SC3 monitoring and assessing learning, using data to inform practice and provide feedback to students/parents.
• SC4 interpersonal and communication skills; building collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the school community.
• SC5 behaviours consistent with Department values; reflecting on practice and engaging in professional learning for quality teaching.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
• Engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills for effective engagement and learning.
• Engage in mentoring and leadership activities to support staff and student teachers.
• Assist staff to use student data to inform teaching approaches and improve learning outcomes.
• Contribute to school policies and priorities as part of the classroom program and broader duties.
