Job summary

Wellers Hill Bowls Club Inc in Brisbane is seeking a Venue Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operation, provide on-shift leadership to Venue Attendants, coordinate bookings and events, and work with the Venue Manager to ensure reliable service and compliance with club and licensing requirements.

You should bring hospitality experience, the ability to coach a team, RSA certificate or willingness to obtain one, strong communication, and a calm, solutions-focused, safety-minded approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or venue operations.
• Previous team supervision is preferred.
• RSA certificate required or willing to obtain.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Organised, reliable and safety-conscious.
• Experience with POS and basic digital records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day venue service and direct Venue Attendants during shifts.
• Deliver friendly service and respond to member and guest enquiries, escalating as needed.
• Maintain a welcoming, clean, safe venue including the bar and function areas.
• Coach Venue Attendants and ensure staff understand duties and club expectations.
• Assist with staff induction and training, including cash handling and RSA.
• Monitor shift coverage and report staffing issues to the Venue Manager.
• Oversee bar service and ensure RSA compliance and club procedures.
• Follow till counts, end-of-shift reconciliation and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate bar stock counts and ordering with approved suppliers.
• Respond to social and function booking enquiries through approved channels.
