Job summary

Stoa Bokarina on the Sunshine Coast seeks an exceptional Venue Manager to lead one of our beloved hospitality venues. You will own the guest experience, mentor a large front‑of‑house team, and drive profitability with smart staffing and systems.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, excellent people skills, and the ability to maintain standards during busy service. You’ll work closely with ownership to grow the business and uphold our reputation for quality food, coffee, wine and service.

Qualifications

• Has proven experience as a Venue Manager or strong Assistant Manager.
• Leads a front-of-house team with confidence, warmth and high standards.
• Understands numbers such as wages, COGS and KPIs without losing the human touch.
• Excellent communication and accountability across the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and motivate a large front-of-house team.
• Roster, staffing levels and wage control.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience at every service.
• Train staff to a high standard and maintain consistency.
• Manage ordering, stock, suppliers and invoicing.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
• Ensure health, safety and operational standards are met.
• Work closely with owner on performance, systems and growth.

About the Venue

We operate Stoa and One Block Back, established, design-led venues known for quality food, coffee, wine and a strong local following. Stoa is our newer concept - relaxed, refined and social.

The Role

• Leading, mentoring and motivating a large front-of-house team
• Rostering, staffing levels and wage control
• Delivering exceptional customer experience, every service
• Training staff to a high standard and maintaining consistency
• Managing ordering, stock, suppliers and invoicing
• Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and operational standards
• Working closely with the owner on performance, systems, and growth

This is a hands‑on leadership role — you’ll be visible on the floor, especially during busy services.

Hours & Availability

• Full-time role, 5 days per week
• Weekends are an absolute must
• Daytime hours only — finish by 2:30pm every day
