Job summary

Glory EV Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Used Vehicle Purchasing & Sales Specialist in Melbourne to source and acquire quality pre‑owned cars, appraise values and manage stock for profitable sales. You will oversee pricing, negotiations and the full vehicle sales process, while building strong relationships with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in the automotive industry in a comparable Used Car, remarketing or sales role is essential.
• Strong knowledge of used vehicle valuations, market pricing, vehicle condition assessment and dealership profit margins.
• Demonstrated ability to purchase vehicles at competitive prices while achieving sales and profitability targets.
• Well-developed communication, influencing, sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
• Ability to manage vehicle purchasing and sales transactions independently, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase quality used vehicles through trade-ins, auctions, private sellers and other industry networks to maintain suitable stock levels and achieve purchasing targets.
• Conduct vehicle appraisals, assess market values and vehicle condition, and evaluate purchasing opportunities to ensure appropriate stock selection and profit margins.
• Manage the vehicle acquisition process, including price negotiation, purchasing documentation, vehicle collection, inspections and coordination of reconditioning and preparation for sale.
• Achieve individual vehicle purchasing, sales volume and gross profit targets by sourcing suitable used vehicles and converting sales opportunities into completed transactions.
• Manage vehicle pricing, monitor competitor activity and market trends, and assess stock performance to achieve commercial objectives, maintain competitive pricing, maximise stock levels, speed to sale and financial returns.
• Manage the full vehicle sales process, including customer enquiries, vehicle demonstrations, trade-in appraisals, test drives, negotiations, financing referrals and sales follow-up, to achieve sales targets and deliver a positive customer experience.
• Maintain accurate vehicle purchasing and sales records, complete transaction documentation, and ensure all purchasing and sales activities comply with company procedures and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
