Job summary

ForHealth Group is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service in NSW. You will triage, provide front-line care, and collaborate with Urgent Care Medical Practitioners to deliver high-quality patient care.

As part of a senior clinical team, you will perform hands-on procedures, document meticulously, and participate in ongoing training. The role requires availability in evenings and weekends and current AHPRA registration.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an Registered Nurse.
• Must be available evenings and weekends.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Emergency Department or 3 years of triage, or 3 years in ICU/CCU/Rural or remote nursing.
• Previous experience in triage with an emergency department is preferred.
• Working with Children’s check, National Police check, and International police check where relevant.
• Basic Life Support Certificate required.
• Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and elevate appropriately.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.
• Can work autonomously and delegate when appropriate.
• A passion for patient-centered care and a personable approach.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients in urgent care - triage with accuracy, empathy, and confidence.
• Conduct thorough and precise nursing triage - assess patient needs and prioritize care for best outcomes.
• Act decisively in critical moments - identify emergencies or deterioration and escalate appropriately.
• Put clinical skills to work - perform hands-on procedures such as suturing and plastering.
• Thrive in a dynamic setting - demonstrate flexibility in responding to urgent care challenges.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care - collaborate with patients, families, carers, and practitioners.
• Help patients reach health goals - guide them toward the best clinical outcomes.
• Educate patients - provide essential health information for wellbeing.
• Maintain meticulous documentation - complete patient records accurately.
